Tahini is a delicious thick sauce made from ground Sesame Seeds. It is sometimes referred to as Sesame Butter.

Tahini is delicious alone or as a dip and is a fantastic accompaniment to many items such as Falafel and Salads. Try it as a substitute in PB&J or Peanut Sauce. It is also an essential ingredient in Hummus, Halva, Baba Ganoush and other Middle Eastern delights. Tahini is most commonly made with White Sesame Seeds but it can also be made with Black Sesame Seeds. The Seeds can be either raw or roasted.
