WHAT'S IN OREOS?

OREO COOKIES — FAR FROM HOMEMADE™

RAPID REVIEW

Information updated July 2024

Oreo Creme Sandwich Cookies were originally filled with Vanilla Butter Cream . . .

Now, below right, Oreo cookies are filled with Artificial Flavor and High Fructose Corn Syrup, both of which are banned at Whole Foods who cites them as “Unacceptable in food”. Shown below, COOKIE COMPARISON: Here’s a comparison between Oreo and Cadia Organic. These Cadia Chocolate Flavored Sandwich Cookies — below right — have no High Fructose Corn Syrup and no Artificial Flavors. Cadia has many ingredients which are closest to those we would use at home such as real Organic Vanilla Extract and Organic Cane Sugar. (Source: Cadia Web site 7/24)

Seen below, COOKIE COMPARISON #2: Oreo Cookies vs. Newman’s Own Newman-O’s Cookies with no HFCS and no Artificial Flavors. Newman-O’s contain Organic Sugars + Organic Unbleached Wheat Flour. (Source: Newman’s Own Web site 7/24)
