An avid reader of the Ingredient Inspector requested a look into what’s on the menu at their alma mater, Tufts University in Massachusetts. (Source for ingredients: Tufts University Dining Web site 7/24)
There are a few items available at Tufts which are Closest To Homemade >> items made with the type of ingredients we would use at home.
Unfortunately, the majority of items on the Tufts University Dining menu are Far From Homemade with numerous commercial ingredients Not In Kitchen >> ingredients we would never use at home including Chemical Preservatives, Emulsifying and Thickening Agents, Hydrogenated Oils, commercial Oils, Artificial Flavors and Artificial Colors.
HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP IS USED AT TUFTS UNIVERSITY DINING: Some of the items available at Tufts contain High Fructose Corn Syrup.
