As seen below, the Big Mac contains multiple ingredients we would never use at home to make a burger including three ingredients banned at Whole Foods and three FDA-recognized preservatives:
BIG MAC SAUCE: The Sauce uses Soybean Oil as its primary ingredient and is sweetened with High Fructose Corn Syrup, Sugar x2 and Corn Syrup
The McDonald’s Web site states — with the exception of the pickles — all of McDonald’s seven classic burgers have no artificial preservatives but this is a false statement >> as shown below, FDA-recognized preservative(s) are utilized in various components of the Cheeseburger, the Quarter Pounder with Cheese and the Big Mac:
