Sparkling Juice is simply pure Fruit Juice + Carbonated Water. Given the high natural sugar content in fruit juice, additional sugar is not necessary >> would you add sugar to fruit juice at home?
Many Sparkling Juice options contain Added Sugar.
Many Sparkling Juice options — such as Welch’s — contain FDA-recognized Chemical Preservative(s).
These Welch’s Sparkling beverages contain at least one FDA-recognized Preservative and one is banned at Whole Foods for containing Sodium Benzoate which Whole Foods cites as “Unacceptable in food”. (Source for banned ingredients: Amazon Whole Foods Web site 2/24)
Seen below, The Switch products contain commercial ingredients we would never use at home including Natural Flavors and two FDA-recognized Chemical Preservatives >> Ascorbic Acid and Citric Acid.
Seen below, Martinelli’s makes several Sparkling Juices which would be Closest To Homemade® except most of their offerings contain added Vitamin C as a preservative or contain commercial Natural Flavors.
However, Martinelli’s Sparkling Apple-Grape varieties do not contain any added Vitamin C and are made with only Apple + Grape Juice Concentrates, so they are Closest To Homemade.

These include Martinelli’s Sparkling Apple-Grape which is certified Kosher and there is a USDA certified organic version, too; RW Knudsen Sparkling Kosher Grape which is certified Kosher for Passover and Non-GMO Project Verified; Hubble Cold-Pressed Sparkling Juices.
